Countdown to Christmas 2023: 11 weeks!

Hello friends! Check out these amazing new animals!! We spotted them at Sydney Zoo last week 🙂 They’re not your everyday kind but are made from thousands of tiny, colourful plastic bricks!! As we went exploring we discovered them scattered throughout the environment:

Today’s Christmas card design was inspired by a very different kind of animal, and what’s not to love about a good pun?!

I selected paper from the retired ‘Tis The Season Designer Series Paper in an effort to use up some of my rather large paper stash!

I chose this design to create a number of cards:

And picked the sentiment ‘Merry Christmoose’ from the retired Merry Moose stamp set:

The next decision was what colour to make the punched out moose, Crumb Cake or Basic White?

A stamping platform, like the Misti, helps guarantee the accurate placement of a sentiment on multiple cards and I used Shaded Spruce ink for this one:

Always love to add a touch of embossing:

The final decision? Which moose to add to the card front:

I opted for the white one as the sentiment ‘popped’ a little more. I may have overdone it with all those double-sided adhesive dots – those moose won’t be going anywhere!

A close up:

MEANWHILE … Our beautiful granddaughter dropped by to bake some delicious dog treats which will be sold at her workplace! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the entire month @westblacktownvet are striving to raise as much money as possible for the @nbcfaus –  such a worthwhile cause 🙂

As always, thank you so much for your company; look after yourselves as this new week unfolds! Megan xo
