Make it Monday: Christmas Tags!

Hello friends! The last week has been busy with me creating Christmas items for a creative ‘Christmas in July’ challenge; I thought I’d start with tags. Here are the first four – do you have a favourite?

For today’s tag I’m using the Merry Mice stamp set from 2016! The image I’ve chosen and the ‘punny’ words make for the cutest tags!

For the ‘base’ I chose the tag die from the Birthday Bonanza suite (retired):

I stamped the mice in Night of Navy ink rather than black – it’s still very dark!

To provide contrast, I stamped the ‘punny’ sentiment in Real Red ink:

And started to add colour with some alcohol based markers:

Originally, I only coloured the twinkle lights …

… but I decided it needed a little more! I added colour to the scarf, gold ink to the bauble ‘cap’ and plug end of the lights, then punched out and glued on a glittery gold bauble – much better 🙂

They make me smile! MEANWHILE … a little fun was had at Wonder Sushi with their rather large serving train delivering some of our yummy lunch!!
