Make it Monday: To a Wild Rose Card!
Hello friends! We had out first socially distanced family visit on Sunday and it was lovely!! It’s amazing to be able to connect via zoom, but it’s so much better in person 🙂 I wanted to create a card that expresses how blessed I feel to know so many thoughtful, kind and encouraging people – the To a Wild Rose stamp set is perfect for this:Â
I had already experimented with stamping different colours for the roses:
And thought I’d try using one of the purple ones:Â
In the end I decided to use a red rose; it might be just me, but I tend to associate purple with sympathy cards and that’s all I could think of when I looked at it! I worked out where I wanted the leaves first, then positioned the rose:Â Â
Once I’d adhered the leaves down I added the rose using adhesive foam dots:
In this layout you can see the glossy accents at the centre of the rose, the subtle embossing on the card front and the heat embossed sentiment ‘to know you’:
And a sneak peek into what’s needed to make one card!Â
MEANWHILE … I had 3 orders come through my Etsy Shop on the 20th of May; this one for 13 sets of embossed cards kept me out of mischief as I had to make most of them from scratch!Â
Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy day to visit me 🙂 Please ask if you have any questions about this card, or anything else you’ve seen me post! Best wishes, Megan xo
