Make it Monday: Spring Butterflies!
Hello friends! I needed to use up some yoghurt so tried this Easy Lemon Yoghurt Cake – delicious! Not only is it gluten free, there’s also a dairy free version. 🙂 This photo shows one of the two loaves the recipe made:Â
I’ve been thinking about ways to keep offering lovely handmade cards that people can afford; one way would be to simplify the process without compromising the quality. I’m also considering offering more packs of ‘any occasion’ cards and less individual cards. Here’s an example of a set of cards:Â I’ve used these stamps and dies before, but this time I created the coloured cardstock myself using two stamps from the Oceanfront stamp set and four of the five 2022-2024 in colours:Â
Two colours stamped and the cardstock’s not looking very exciting!Â
Now, this is more appealing!
Here you can see the process I followed for creating the six butterflies with extra stamping in black ink and die-cutting:
This process means that no two sets of cards will ever look exactly the same, but I think that’s fine as it makes them unique. 🙂 For these cards I’m using thicker white cardstock and not adding extra cardstock layers; this will help keep the cost down. The butterflies are adhered with liquid glue and I’ve added sparkle to their wings with Wink of Stella glitter (not essential but makes them special):
MEANWHILE … I was very proud of myself for not going ‘over the top’ with packaging lollies for children to give their Dads at church on Sunday! They just needed to add their names to the label:
Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today and I hope you have a happy week 🙂 Megan xo
