Make it Monday: Sleepy Panda!

Hello friends! Welcome to the last month of Autumn (in the southern hemisphere) and my 4th year participating in the ‘A Card a Day in May’ challenge 🙂 I haven’t felt very inspired recently, but then I saw the Stampin Up! Wild & Sweet stamp set from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue!! <3

I used the panda from the set to create my card [and the ‘Let’s Celebrate You’ from the Itty Bitty Birthdays set (retired) for the sentiment]. I needed LOTS of Tuxedo Black Memento ink to cover this stamp!

The Painted Texture 3D embossing folder adds an oil painted look to the cardstock which I love:

Guess who had to take over the dining table to prep the card fronts and writing panels?!

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink on scrap pieces of Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled them with white embossing powder and then heat embossed each one. Heat embossing the sentiment helps it to stand out, literally!

I cut the stamped sentiment out with one of the smaller Stitched Rectangle Dies:

And then adhered it with adhesive foam dots for added dimension:

The green ink is Parakeet Party from the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue and the bamboo stamp on the writing panel is from a retired set:

I also made an alternate version which was more occasion-specific and one that I could post straight away:

MEANWHILE … Emily (from A wish for Emily) featured in a gymnastics article – amazing!! Emily Collett had brittle bones, suffered fractures to both legs and couldn’t walk for several months. But she’s defied the odds and through gymnastics has gained strength and flexibility to do things she’s always dreamed of! ?  ? Read more here https://bit.ly/3vq5ObU

Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy day to visit me here ? Please ask if you have any questions about these cards, or anything else you’ve seen me post, and enjoy the rest of your week! Megan xo
