Make it Monday: I’m ba-ack!!
Hello friends! If you’ve been as busy as I’ve been, you may not have noticed my 15-week absence from social media, or that it’s 9 weeks today since Christmas!! I’ve missed sharing what I’ve been doing in the creative space so this is my first post for 2024 and I’m showcasing the limited edition ‘Flight & Airy’ paper which I’m using to create sets of cards 🙂 
I decided on white card bases and 4 different coloured matte layer to go behind the different patterned paper. And every card needs a little embossed texture, right?! 
I set up a production line and prepped 16 card bases, cut 16 matte and paper layers, embossed 16 paper layers … you get the idea! I adhered the patterned papers ( 4 3/4″ x 3″) to the matte layers ( 5″ x 3 1/4″) using double-sided tape:
These are the Calypso Coral mattes… 
…the Boho Blue mattes…
…and the Bubble Bath mattes on the almost finished cards: 
Each card has a small bird adhered to the card front by a double-sided adhesive foam dot and yes, I was brave and fussy-cut the birds out before applying some sparkly Wink of Stella to their tummies: 
One set of 4 completed cards with different coloured mattes and featuring different birds 🙂
MEANWHILE … A 2023 highlight for Emily (from A wish for Emily) was receiving the Head of School Award in recognition of her displaying the mission and values of her school – congratulations Emily, you are amazing!!
