Freshly Made Sketches #392: A Sketch by Jacquie
Hello friends! This week’s challenge from Freshly Made Sketches is designed by Jacquie and she’s hoping we’ll have lots of fun with it! 🙂 The three strips can be used for sentiments or as an embellishment, or for whatever we like! I’ve used the strips for a sentiment and the Sketch inspired me to create a ‘Welcome to the world!’ baby card; how sweet is this teddy bear?I used the Shimmering Stars embossing folder from Creative Expressions to create the background on the Night of Navy cardstock then embossed part of a world map onto thick Whisper White cardstock:The Stitched Rectangle Dies make the perfect picture frame for the world map and I attached the sentiment to the frame using adhesive foam dots. I love the classic colour combination of red, white and blue, don’t you?
The teddy bear and sentiment come from the Stampin’ Up! retired Baby Bear stamp set. To create the bear I stamped bear 1 in light brown ink, bear 2 on top of the first image in a medium brown ink, and bear 3 on top of this image using a darker shade of brown ink:The bow tie is die-cut from red glimmer paper and popped up with an adhesive foam dot, the eyes are clear epoxy shapes and the nose is raised and shiny thanks to the addition of some glossy accents:
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today and I hope this gives you a little inspiration! Megan xo
What a great take on the sketch – I love the textures & color choices! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
Thanks so much Jacquie! 🙂
