Global Design Project #193: Colour!

Hello friends! I’m loving participating in these challenges – lots of fun and a great discipline for me!! 🙂 This week’s Global Design Project is all about these gorgeous colours: I didn’t have a lot of time to ‘play’ with them, but I did need to make a birthday card for someone turning 70!! So I opted for a design I’d recently developed and used the cyclist stamp from Enjoy Life, a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays and I die-cut the number “70” from gold glimmer paper:The acrylic block water colouring technique was perfect for quickly creating the background on Shimmery White cardstock with Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green inks :I brought in Night of Navy with the cardstock matte and the label for the heat embossed sentiment, as well as with the ink for stamping the cyclist’s silhouette (yes, it needed fussy cutting!) Love the contrast it makes with the background:

I also love the sense of moving forward positively from celebrating 70 years of life! Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today and I hope this gives you a little inspiration! Megan xo
