Anniversary Card

Hello friends! This is a quick share about an Anniversary card I made today for the **A Card a Day in May** challenge 🙂 I used a masking technique to create a pretty floral design, placing a circle (punched from a Post-It-Note) down first then stamping my pattern around/over the paper circle using Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather inks. In my first attempt, the circle was just that little bit too big (and I didn’t stamp quite enough flowers!) :

But the smaller circle meant my second attempt was ‘just right’!

And here are both attempts for comparison:

I ran the stamped card front through the Big Shot (embossing machine) using the Stampin’ Up! Subtle DTI Embossing Folder;  I love the classy, textured finish it gives the cardstock 🙂

The number 50 is die cut from a gold foil sheet, and the writing panel inside the card is stamped to coordinate with the front of the card, and the stamped ‘Congratulations’ has been die cut using a Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die and popped up with adhesive foam dots for added dimension:

Thanks so much for visiting today and please ask if you’d like any more information about how I created this card! Megan xo
