NZ Holiday: Snapshot 4
Hello friends! Christchurch reflects its English heritage and proved to be another lovely city; so many places to visit and things to see! We took an aerial ride on the Gondola to the Port Hills crater rim and Mt Cavendish summit and were rewarded with views of the cityscape, Canterbury Plains and Lyttelton Harbour:
And here’s proof we were there!!
We committed 11 hours to coast-to-coast train travel through forests, farmland and the spectacular Southern Alps aboard the TranzAlpine Train – Christchurch to Greymouth and back again in one day; so worth it!! A few glimpses out my train window of some of the varied and spectacular scenery:
And a few glimpses from around the city: Neil Dawson’s magnificent Chalice sculpture, the Avon River in the Botanic Gardens and where we went to Church!!
My next post will come from a gorgeous coastal location! Thanks so much for visiting today! Megan xo
