Make it Monday: Pot Plant Cards!

Hello friends! These cards are perfect for the pot plant lovers in your life 🙂 I bought the stamps and coordinating dies …

… and the Designer Series Paper, which I’ve finally got around to cutting up into into card fronts:

For a touch of texture I used the ‘Stone’ embossing folder (retired):

I couldn’t make up my mind about the colour of the card base so I tried these three colours and ended up choosing them all!

At this point in the design process, I often think about whether or not to add a sentiment to the card front. I decided that these cards looked a little plain:

My first idea was to add some pots, so I fussy cut these out (while listening to music):

They didn’t work on the front of the cards but look great in one corner of the writing panels!

My next idea was to make thank you cards with this sentiment from the Plentiful Plants stamp set; I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso Ink 🙂

This retired Story Label Punch from Stampin’ Up! was perfect for punching the sentiment out, and I added double-sided adhesive foam dots to give dimension:

Much better! 🙂

MEANWHILE … I made this card as a ‘one-off’, but my sister thinks I should add it to my shop! What do you think?
