Make it Monday: Colouring Cards!
Hello friends! I’m really enjoying thinking about designs for kid’s cards this month and this card was inspired by the very talented Kelly Kent:
She’s made numerous DIY colouring cards to sell at markets, and I have quite a few stamped images, like this giraffe, that I think would work well for her card concept:
I chose the giraffe as it has solid lines, would be fun to colour, and is perfect to give to a child who’s not feeling well and needs something to do 🙂
These pencils are from a packet of half length pencils I found at our local Hot Dollar shop; I thought they were cheap at $1.50, but … these pencils from Officeworks are a real bargain, 50 pencils for just $3.00!! The card uses a small piece of Designer Series Paper for attaching the pencils:
Look closely and you’ll see the 2 small holes I punched in the paper for threading the twine through; I used double sided tape to attach that paper to the card front:
The first version of this card had no stamped sentiment and looked very bare:
So I added these words from the Back on Your Feet stamp set using a die from the Word Bubbles Framelits (retired) – much better!
MEANWHILE … Stampin’ Up! has launched the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue so time for me to go shopping!!
Thanks so much for visiting me today; I really appreciate you spending time here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration! Megan xo
