Make it Monday: Coffee and Pie Puns!

Hello friends! A week into May and the weather has really changed – it’s now cold enough to wear our ‘oodies’ in the evening! A few days ago, my ‘Covid Qualification’ arrived from the University of Tasmania 🙂 In the midst of Covid I decided to enrol to study Family History; it was the best distraction, especially during the 2021 lockdown! I finished the final 2 subjects last year:

For the 2023 ‘A Card a Day in May’ challenge I’m making ‘punny cards’; I designed a coffee cup card for yesterday and made this one today … :

… using this retired stamp set … :

… and chose the pie and plate stamps:

This stamp set doesn’t have a matching die set for cutting out the shapes which is when the Brother ScanNCut is really useful!

I wasn’t sure what colours I wanted to use so pulled out a range of Stampin’ Blends:

I tried colouring the cake plate by stamping it with the whole ink pad:

But in the end, these are the pieces I used and they didn’t include the plate!

MEANWHILE …  I continue to receive some lovely card reviews in my Etsy Shop 🙂 In a crowded marketplace like Etsy, online reviews are considered one of the most important factors that potential customers use to decide whether to buy from an Etsy seller or not so I value each one I receive!

Thanks again for dropping by; have a lovely week wherever you are and whatever you’re doing! I’ll continue making some fun ‘pun cards’! Megan xo
