Make it Monday: a 2023 Easter Card
Hello friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m not enjoying the weather roller coaster we’re on and neither are our pine trees. The brown needles you see in the photo aren’t related to seasonal needle loss but are a consequence of all that rain we had LAST year! Paul’s following the arborist’s advice, but she’s not sure we can save them; it seems the original owners chose the wrong kind of tree for the location 🙁
On a cheerier note, I wanted to share how I used the flowery wreaths from the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (now retired):
I needed the second largest of these oval dies to cut them out (more retired product!):
I added interest and dimension to the card front with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder:
And making these cuties was effortless with the Easter Bunny Punch!
The brown cardstock is called Early Espresso and I used the matching ink to stamp the sentiment from Basket Bunch (also retired!) and cut it out using the new Conversation Bubble Dies. I trimmed off the smaller bubbles to get the look I wanted 🙂
This is why papercrafters have a lot of ‘stuff’: I needed 3 kinds of adhesive to finish off the card – liquid glue, adhesive foam dots and double-sided tape!!
The pretty green for the card base is called Pear Pizzazz and I stamped a row of Easter eggs on the writing panel:
And here’s a close up:
MEANWHILE … It’s official! I can graduate from the University of Tasmania with the Diploma of Family History that I started during the pandemic; such a brilliant distraction during Covid lock downs!
Thanks so much for visiting me today; I hope you found a little inspiration for your own creating Have a great week! Megan xo
