Freshly Made Sketches #391: A Sketch by Amy

Hello friends! This is my first time entering a challenge from Freshly Made SketchesEach week, one member of their design team creates a sketch for people to try. The challenge? To follow the sketch while keeping your project clean-lined and fresh! This week’s designer is Amy and this is her sketch to encourage lots of creativity 🙂

And this is my response!!

My card design features a black panel with ‘honeycomb’ that I fussy cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and a gold foil sheet (after embossing them with the Hexagon embossing folder) :

and the cutest of bees from the retired Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set:

The floral Porta Craft Daisy and Swirls embossing folder was a perfect match for a “Bee Card” as it features daisy flowers and tiny hearts, and the sentiment “I bee-lieve in you” is heat embossed in white and comes from the Memory Box Bee Yourself stamp set:

The inside writing panel also boasts a bee! Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today and I hope this gives you a little inspiration! Megan xo

  1. What a cute card! I love those bees, and I love how you’ve used the hexagon pattern with the sketch. I’m so glad you took the plunge and joined us at Freshly Made Sketches this week! Please come back and join us for the next challenge.

  2. This is so fantastic! I love the hexagon background and how you layered some gold over the yellow. And not to be outdone are those bees! They are perfect for your design – and they look like bumblebees, a favorite of mine! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. How exciting to have you join us!! I love this honeycomb you created and all your lovely details. So glad to see you this week at FMS and I hope to see you again soon!
