Countdown to Christmas 2021: 8 weeks!
Hello friends! The tradition of baking and decorating gingerbread at Christmas time has been around for a long time and is something our family loves to do – especially the eating part!! This explains (excuses?!) my purchase of the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle that lets me make batches of paper ‘cookies’ 🙂
And buying the coordinating Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper that I used last week. This week I want to feature the larger Christmas shapes on the front of smaller square cards measuring 3″ x 3″ (7.6 x 7.6 cm):
The dies fit perfectly:
I trimmed the shapes down before die-cutting them – they were easier to handle this way:
And I could die-cut 4 shapes at one time 🙂
The only ones I had to fussy cut were the trees:
Lots of small adhesive foam dots were needed for the backs and give great dimension to the card fronts:
This sealed packet contains 40 small Basic White envelopes that are the perfect size for these 3″ x 3″ (7.6 x 7.6 cm) cards which I cut from 12″ x 12″ white cardstock (you can get 8 cards from one piece):
I embossed 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) pieces of white cardstock with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and cut each of these pieces into 4 pieces measuring 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ (7 x 7 cm):
The cards are ready to put together:
Four ‘batches’ of cookie cards!
A close up of a mixed ‘batch’:
And a distance shot – yum! 😉
MEANWHILE … I couldn’t resist an earring sale that let me add some more earrings to my Christmas Collection!
Thanks so much for visiting me today; I really appreciate you being here If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration! Megan xo
