Countdown to Christmas 2019: 10 weeks!
Hello friends! For this week’s countdown I wanted to share another Christmas card design that’s been added to my shop 🙂 I love the focus this stamp has on Christmas words that reflect what it’s all about!
While I don’t make the actual paper and cardstock that I use, all other aspects of my cards involve the use of my hands – from the cutting and scoring of the cardstock through to adding any final embellishments. Here, I’m lining up the Stitched Rectangle Dies and cranking them through an embossing machine:
The next step for this card was to use Multipurpose Liquid Glue and add adhesive foam dots:
I also use embossing folders on the majority of my cards; they add such gorgeous texture and dimension, like the stars on these card fronts (folder by Sue Wilson)! When a card front is heavily embossed, like this one, I find it best to use 12mm (1/2″) doubled sided tape rather than 6mm (1/4″) so that it adheres well:
I also like to coordinate the inside of the card with the card front by adding something to the writing panel; here, it’s through the use of colour (Blackberry Bliss ink) and the star stamp:
If this is your first time stopping by my blog, I want to thank you for being here! I do my best to share a little weekly inspiration and am happy to answer any questions you might have! Megan xo
