Birthday Balloon Embossing!
Hello friends! This week started with a CPR Refresher Course, and a couple of meetings so my Monday making attempts weren’t very successful! I didn’t have this photo for last week’s post, but here’s Emily (from A wish for Emily) celebrating her birthday – the smile says it all!
My shop is lacking in birthday cards at the moment so I worked on creating a simple design that won’t be too fiddly to replicate (yes, they are puppets in the background!):
I started with this fun balloon embossing folder and experimented with coloured cardstock as well as embossing the pattern in landscape mode:
I settled on using white cardstock in portrait mode…
… and adding a pop of colour with the stamped greeting:
And here is the finished card with another colour 🙂
This time I’m matching the cards with Australian-made envelopes in Botany Natural, a kraft paper made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste. They have a beautiful, natural and rustic appearance 🙂
MEANWHILE … I was excited about making soup with my bargain pumpkin until I cut it open; zucchini soup instead!
Thanks so much for spending some time with me and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week. 🙂 Megan xo
That card is perfect!! So cute, and the embossing folder does most of the work. Where is it from? Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Susan! It’s the Momenta Balloons Embossing Folder 🙂
Love this idea Meagan. I have just joined up as a Stampin Up Demonstrator so I will get to use some of your lovely products from now on. ❤️????❤️
Thanks Karen! I hope you enjoy using the Stampin’ Up! products as much as I do 🙂 xo
