Valentine’s Day 2020!!

Hello friends! Now I know not everyone’s into Valentine’s Day, but any excuse to eat chocolate, right?! Just for fun, I made these for the ladies in my Life Group: 

And included this ‘God is Love’ sentiment under the lid:

I needed the hearts to be sturdy (you’ll see why in a minute) so I made them with three layers, two of cardstock and one of the patterned paper:

These coordinating heart punches meant the process was super quick and I used the gorgeous Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (limited edition):

This 3 Nugget Box pattern was designed by the very talented Beth McCullough, and I used the Lily paper again to cover the Hershey’s Nuggets:

The fun sentiment at the front of the box comes from the Heartfelt stamp set, which also coordinates with the heart punches 🙂

A few steps to getting the boxes ready by adding Stampin’ Dimensionals …

In this picture, you can see how to open the box and why the hearts need to be sturdy!

You can also stand the boxes up at a slight angle using the tip of the heart – how cool is that?!

MEANWHILE … exciting progress is being made on our new church building which will hopefully by finished mid-year; as you can see, I took these photos on a very wet day (we desperately need the rain!):
