Make it Monday: World Teacher’s Day!
Hello friends! Today is World Teacher’s Day, and gives us a chance to celebrate the hardworking and dedicated primary, secondary and early childhood teachers we know. Australian schools are on holidays at the moment, so we’ll celebrate on the last Friday in October. This is the fun card I made for them:
The Playful Alphabet Dies were a great size for this card, and I love that they have duplicate dies for some of the frequently used letters (A, E, I, L, N, O, P, R, S, & T). I arranged the 26 letters in 3 rows on a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and ran it through my Bigshot using the magnetic platform. I didn’t need the white die-cut letters this time so I’m saving them for other projects 🙂
These colours are being used in the promotional materials for schools in NSW:
And I used the Rainbow Glimmer Paper in my design as it has similar colours 🙂
I wanted to make a thank you card, and as I looked at the letters I realised I could spell out the word on the card front using the negative space! I die-cut THANKYOU from black glittery paper and adhered those letters in place:
Here’s a closer look at how it came together:
And here’s where I tried to capture the sparkle and shine!
MEANWHILE … Yes, we remembered to put the clocks forward on the weekend, and here are some of the plants that have come to live with us for a while (along with their owners of course!):
Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy day to visit me 🙂 Please ask if you have any questions about this card, or anything else you’ve seen me post, and enjoy your week! Megan xo
