Make it Monday: Owls for Father’s Day!

Hello friends! So much has happened since Paul’s neck surgery on the 5th of August, but with Father’s Day coming I had to get myself back in the craft room (aka spare bedroom)!! He normally spends a lot of time in book-related activities so the Check You Out stamp set (retired) was perfect for this card and I used greetings from the Well Said stamp set:

I really like the owl, so I stamped a few extras:

And used one of them to decorate the inside of the card:

I like the way the owl’s feet and wing hang off the writing panel 🙂 

It also helps to tie the front and inside of the card together:

The Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder adds fantastic texture and the owl is popped up on adhesive foam dots for extra dimension:

MEANWHILE: Father’s Day was a relaxed celebration with the highlight being a quick visit from our daughter and granddaughter, phone calls and texts from our 3 sons, and these beautiful tissue paper flowers made by our very creative daughter:  🙂
