Make it Monday: Cute Dinosaur Card!
Hello friends! I hope you’ve had a lovely, relaxing Easter weekend. It was very different for us as we went to church via Zoom and had no-one to help us do the Easter Egg Hunt (or eat all the chocolate – picture below)!! I’ve been busy designing some children’s cards and this Dinoroar patterned paper was so easy to use as it has dinosaurs in the same size as the Dino Dies – no stamping involved 🙂
I die-cut these (and more) from one 12″ x 12″ (30.5cm x 30.5cm) sheet of paper:
I wanted to include a dinosaur egg in the design so die-cut the eggshell in Whisper White cardstock and embossed it with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder (retired) to add this distinctive texture:
But I didn’t like the eggshell in white! I then die-cut and embossed Mango Melody cardstock, allowing 2 eggshells for each card front:
Much happier with this colour! I decided to include a sentiment and chose ‘Just peeking in to say hello.’ from the Pretty Kitty retired stamp set, and die-cut it with one of the Word Bubbles Framelits Dies (also retired):
The next step was to choose another Dinoroar patterned paper for the card front and decide on the placement of the different pieces before sticking them down:
Starting to come together 🙂
I decorated the writing panels with the die-cut pterodactyls:
And here’s the finished design:
MEANWHILE … I don’t think we’re going to get through this in a hurry!
Thanks so much for visiting me a second time on this Easter long weekend; I really appreciate you being here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration! Megan xo
