Make it Monday: Circle Punch Ornaments!
Hello friends! Only 5 days left for Christmas in July creations so I’ve been working hard on some Christmas ornaments to share with you 🙂 For this ornament, I copied a design from the talented Brenda Quintana:
I started punching out the 2″ (5.1 cm) circles while watching TV (well, Paul was watching the footy and I was keeping him company!) and I began with more traditional Christmas colours:Â
I finished by punching the circles out of any coloured cardstock scraps; much prettier to look at! 😉 Â
After scoring 10 Night of Navy cardstock circles, I decorated each centre with a small snowflake punched from some retired sparkly cardstock; this picture gives you an idea of how I glued them together using multipurpose liquid glue:Â
Having 5 circles on the top section and the bottom section means the ornament sits flat and doesn’t roll:Â Â
Hard to see, but this ribbon is sparkly too:
It looks lovely from all angles and would make a perfect gift at Christmas time!Â
Sneak peek of a new sentiment and Designer Series Paper coming soon from Stampin’ Up! that I used on a card; I also used the paper on a variation of the Circle Punch Ornament:
This ornament took a little longer to make as I had to die-cut the triangles and it was a bit fiddlier gluing the triangles in place:
MEANWHILE …Â I was super excited to be able to donate $1500 to A wish for Emily from the January to June 2020 sale of cards through my Etsy Shop!Â
Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy day to visit me 🙂 Please ask if you have any questions about this ornament/ card, or anything else you’ve seen me post, and enjoy the rest of your week! Megan xo
