Friday Show and Tell: Snugglepot and Cuddlepie!
Hello friends! I have such strong childhood memories of this iconic Australian book, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, written by May Gibbs just over 100 years ago! When I found these stamps from Paper Rose Studio I knew I had to buy them 🙂
While I was only wanting to make one birthday card at the time, I stamped multiples of the images to have on hand for later:
They’d also created matching dies so I had to buy them too 😉 After stamping the images, I was able to die-cut 3 images at once which was a real time saver:
I’d used Tuxedo Memento Black ink to stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock which meant I could colour the images using Stampin’ Blends (alcohol based markers):
The gumnut image was perfect for decorating the white writing panel:
And to personalise the card for a gorgeous girl who was turning ten, I added die-cut numbers in silver:
This Couture Creations Embossing Folder (Gumnuts) added subtle texture and dimension to the card front:
MEANWHILE I was excited to find these fun crocheted hanging hand towels on the One Day Closer to Rain (Drought) – Rural Cottage Crafts Facebook page! 🙂 I ordered 3 to replace some of my nearly threadbare ones!
Thanks so much for visiting me on this Easter long weekend; it’s always lovely to have you here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration! Megan xo
