Countdown to Christmas 2021: 3 weeks!

Hello friends! With just 3 weeks to go until Christmas, we headed to Costco on Thursday afternoon to purchase my annual supply of Hershey’s Nuggets and Kisses. Shock horror!! Not one bag of either was to be found anywhere!! This has really thrown me because packaging them up to share is part of what I do every year at Christmas time. Fingers crossed they’ve just sold out for now … I consoled myself by making this pudding card 🙂

And used the Sweets & Treats stamp set: 

I stamped the puddings with this black ink because I wanted to colour them with alcohol markers: 

The Stampin’ Blends have a light (L) and a dark (D) shade. Today I used Crumb Cake (D), Daffodil Delight (D), Old Olive (L), Soft Suede (D) and Real Red (D): 

Warning: there are no matching dies to cut out the pudding shapes so you have to do some fussy cutting!! 

Given I’m not the best at this, they don’t look too bad 🙂

I coloured the holly berries in Real Red before attaching the red rhinestones and added some shine to the white icing with Wink of Stella:

I also added Glossy Accents to the mixed fruit which makes it shiny and raised: 

More colouring and fussy cutting for the pudding stand – it’s stamped in Old Olive (D), cut out, then coloured completely in Old Olive (L): 

Added a touch of a ‘warm, luxurious fabric’ using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and, voila!

MEANWHILE … I saw this item from the ‘Lemax Santa’s Wonderland Collection’ in Aldi on Monday and while I didn’t buy it, I have it on good authority that for $99.99 it’s a real bargain – Aldi does it again!
