Hello friends! We’ve been back in winter clothes this week after dressing in summery clothes only the week before – crazy!! I’m still adding new stock to my Etsy shop and wanted to create another nativity card using this retired stamp from Simon Says Stamp: This is where the Brother ScanNCut (generously gifted to me by a friend who wasn’t using hers) really comes into its own as it saves me individually die-cutting each stamped image:
So quick!
I coloured the images using Stampin’ Up!’s alcohol markers:
And added texture with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder:
It looks really good 🙂
I used 4 adhesive foam dots on each image to give added dimension:
And one of the mini stampin’ dimensionals on each of the gold foil stars I die-cut from a gold foil sheet using my Sizzix Sidekick:
There is a simplicity to this design that I love:
For the inside writing panel, I added a gold ink star:
Very quick to make multiples when using a stamping platform:
The next decision is how many cards to make ahead of time!MEANWHILE … this small but pretty azalea bush has given us weeks of visual enjoyment, and I found that the flowers will last inside for many days if you’re careful about when and how you pick them 🙂
If you haven’t visited for a while, thank you for being here today I love to share a little Christmas inspiration and if you have any questions I’d be very happy to answer them! Have a lovely weekend, Megan xo
