Countdown to Christmas 2020: 12 weeks!
Hello friends! I hope you’ll find this Countdown to Christmas helpful rather than stressful! I’ve started designing some Treat Holders that I’m looking forward to sharing with others this Christmas:
TREAT HOLDER 1: this one was easy to create as the Little Treat Box Dies make all the simple cuts and folds, no adhesive is required, and you get 2 boxes from one piece of A4 cardstock!
To decorate the treat boxes I embossed a piece of Old Olive cardstock with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder then punched out the tree shapes with the Pine Tree Punch – yes, even your family could help! I put liquid glue on the bottom half of the tree only; this means the tree will stand straight once the box is tied with ribbon 🙂
Both the Red Glimmer Paper and the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack are retired, but you could just use whatever you have in your stash (Stampin’ Up! alternatives are Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Stitched Stars Dies). I attached the stars with mini adhesive foam dots:
Each box holds 5 Hershey’s Kisses – just enough for a sweet treat! 😉
I closed the boxes using this pretty sheer red ribbon and some gold cord; I don’t know about you, but whenever possible I avoid tying lots of bows!
MEANWHILE … we have family coming back to live with us for a while 🙂 This time there are no pets involved, just lots of pot plants!! The furniture arrived last night:
Thanks so much for taking some time out of your busy day to visit me 🙂 Please ask if you have any questions about this treat box, or anything else you’ve seen me post, and enjoy your weekend! Megan xo
