Colour INKspiration #CI11

Have you ever seen Blue Tiger butterflies? They’re so pretty and what I thought of when I saw this lovely coffee-inspired colour palette for the Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI11: 

To create my beautiful butterflies I used these colours and the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! – perfect! Just two score lines gave this simple trifold effect for the card (a Gate Fold) and I layered eight wings onto the outside panels:

Gate Fold cards tend to pop open easily so I adhered a smaller butterfly onto gold foil and a strip of Early  Espresso Cardstock to create a ‘belly band’:

This front view of the card shows the texture I created with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (try saying that in a hurry!):

More embossing on the outside blue panels and another view of those beautiful wings! It’s hard to capture, but they subtly sparkle with Wink of Stella:
