Countdown to Christmas 2022: 4 weeks!
Hello friends! This term I’m completing the final subject in a university course so I’ve been absent from social media for a while. But with just 4 weeks til Christmas, I wanted to share a mini gift idea for packaging ferrero rocher chocolates. I followed the pattern created by the talented Brenda Quintana:
My version used white cardstock for the base of the box and patterned Peaceful Pines Designer Series Paper (retired) for the lid. Here you can see that there’s lots of scoring, some cutting but no glue needed!
I wanted to include a sentiment inside the lid as this makes a fun surprise for the recipient:
Lining the lid and the box base helps keep the flaps in place, and four ferrero rocher chocolates fit perfectly:
Buying the Ferrero Rocher Chocolate Gift Box of 30 pieces for half price ($11) means I’ve made 7 boxes of 4 chocolates for $1.58 per box – bargain!
I was able to turn the leftover paper pieces into small coordinating gift cards and I have just the right sized envelopes to go with them:
This project will work for lots occasions, like Easter and Mother’s Day, and I’ll just use different Designer Series Paper for the box lid:
MEANWHILE … plans are afoot for our ‘Scottish Highlands Christmas’ featuring Connie, our Highland Cow [puppet] – isn’t she a beauty?!!
Thanks so much for visiting me today; I hope you found a little inspiration for your own creating Megan xo
