Flowers for more than Valentine’s Day!

Hello friends! A six-week break from all but the essentials (like filling shop orders!) has been so relaxing, but now I’m ready to get back to work 🙂 During January, we spent a few days in Kiama for our wedding anniversary and yes, it looked like this most of the time!!

For this floral card design I’m using Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, and Soft Succulent from the 2021-2023 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pad Bundle:

I’ve also used the stamps and dies from the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle:

The floral images are beautifully drawn and the coordinating fill stamps give my design an effortless watercoloured look:

Cutting the flowers out with the coordinating die creates a bouquet of flowers:

After hours of stamping and die-cutting …

I had more than 30 bouquets- so pretty!

The Brick and Mortar embossing folder gives a great background for the flowers:

When cardstock is embossed heavily like this, I use 12mm double-sided adhesive for attaching the layer to the card base rather than 6mm:

If you look closely, you should see that the flowers have a little sparkle thanks to Crystalina KindyGlitz (a few different craft shops stock this):

I’ve added LOTS of adhesive foam dots to the back of the bouquets so they don’t fall off the brick embossing!

For my ‘sort -of-Valentines-Day-card’ for Paul, I’ve added a cute frog and a more general sentiment:

And here’s a closeup of the card:

MEANWHILE … a possum seems to have been enjoying our ripe tomatoes so Paul’s started picking them while they’re green:

Thanks so much for visiting me today; it’s always lovely to have you here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration!  Megan xo
