Countdown to Christmas 2020: 11 weeks!

Hello friends! They had me at the “Heilan coo” (Highland cow)!! Yuletide Pasture is one of the first stamp sets I bought from the new Stampin’ Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue – very cute!

Cute as they are, the sheep and cat will have to wait as I *had* to try stamping with the cow first! So I could stamp multiple cows in the same position on the white cardstock, I used a stamp positioning tool. I own a few (don’t ask how many!) and this is the Mini Misti which I’ve had the longest:

I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink as I wanted to colour with the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers; I tackled the quick colouring first 🙂

And left the hardest ’til last!

I used the second smallest of the Celebration Labels Dies to frame and die-cut the image:

Almost a perfect fit:

I tried a few different colours/styles for the card fronts:

I decided I liked the effect of the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder on the blue cardstock but rather than the rectangle shape, I die-cut the next size up of the Celebration Label Dies:

And really like how it looks 🙂

I had the choice of 2 black inks to stamp this sentiment from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set; the Jet Black Stazon Ink seemed to work best:

I added some shine to the ‘coo’s’ nose with Glossy Accents and some sparkle to the baubles with Crystalina Kindyglitz:

MEANWHILE … my beautiful daughter surprised me with this L’Occitane Hand Cream so I could hydrate my hands while having fun! 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting me today; I really appreciate you being here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little inspiration!  Megan xo
