Countdown to Christmas 2020: 9 weeks!
Hello friends! How has your week been? I’ve had time to add a few more Christmas cards to my Etsy Shop (not all new designs), and I’ve had my first order – 10 cards! I’ve also had time to play with some ideas for Christmas tags as I think they make each gift even more special 🙂
I began by using this stamp set (retired):
and these coordinating dies (also retired):
to experiment with making tags. This stamp is reversible (which is amazing!) and 2 dies are provided to cut out either left or right handled cups (even more amazing!):
Two more dies provide candy cane stripes and a poinsettia pattern which can be adhered to the cardstock cups:
To make the tags so they open, take a piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ (11.4cm x 5.7cm) and score it at 2 1/4″ (5.7cm). You then position the die so it won’t completely cut the handle:
Have a Hoot Bundle has the cutest images and coordinating dies; I thought the smallest one would work well on a Christmas tag:
I die-cut it then coloured it with Stampin’ Blends, added some Wink of Stella glitter:
And attached it to the cup tag with one adhesive foam dot – cute!
I also tried this die from the Coming Home Bundle and love that I can swap over the small star – no waste!
Trying to capture the Wink of Stella glitter on the stars is hard!
The tags will also work well with ribbons of different width 🙂
MEANWHILE … I received this wonderful review and yes, she has ordered some Christmas cards!
Thank you so much for spending time with me today and if you have any questions, please ask. Have a great weekend! Megan xo
