A Special Birthday & Card!
Hello friends! Another busy week for us as we travelled to Yeoval on Thursday to support the Saturday grand opening of AusLive Auctions with Andrew and Sarah 🙂 
Just a week earlier, we’d been celebrating their son (our grandson) turning one with a party at our place! The theme for Cali’s birthday was ‘Wild One’ and this is the card I made (giraffes are a family favourite so one featured on the front) …
… with more animals on the inside (remembered to photograph the inside before I finished writing in it!) 🙂
And here’s a close up of the rhino and a rather cute frog!
I used this retired stamp set and dies, and coloured the animals using Stampin’ Blends:
The size of the card meant I needed a larger greeting on the front; so glad I kept this Stampin’ Up! thinlit die from 2017!! I cut it in red felt: 
MEANWHILE …Ancestry has updated my ancestral regions with Ireland still claiming the strongest connection and my heart! 🙂

Megan thank you for using a older Stampin Up favorite of mine. it seems that once they no longer sell them they expect us to toss them out and buy new. I for one can not afford to do that so one more reason why I appreciate this post so much. Cute cute card. Wish that I had seen it a month ago as we just had a great grandson turn 1. But there is always next year for a “2”,
Hi Jenni, I’m glad you like the card and will be able to use the design idea one day! You’ll find I use lots of older stamps and dies and I only occasionally buy new SU product ~ I already own so many stamp sets (most are retired, and some haven’t even been used yet!!).
