Nine months later …
Hello friends! December 8 last year began at church like all Sundays, but ended in hospital after Paul sustained a fractured skull with bleeding on the brain 🙁 Almost 9 months later, we’ve stepped off the medical merry-go-round and into spring – many prayers have been answered!
As for me, I’m stepping back into the craft room and starting to restock my Etsy shop while creating some new card designs. Design 1: a simple but hopefully versatile sympathy card using retired Stampin’ Up! products:
While I like the concept, I don’t like how the words seem to get lost in the embossing!
So, I’ve used these …
… to separately stamp and punch out the sentiment, I’ve adhered the sentiment with adhesive dots and added an iridescent foil gem to the centre of the stamped flowers; much better 🙂
For variation I’ve added the card front to a blue card base 🙂 and I think that using different cardstock and ink colours will make it a versatile design:
I especially like the cards that incorporate the hand stamped flower, but I’m not sure if I prefer the white card base …
… or the coloured ones (or whether I should add the design to my Etsy shop!)
MEANWHILE … what a joy it is to spend time with this precious little one! His first birthday will be celebrated at our place next month – we can’t wait!!
Thanks so much for spending some time with me and I hope to see you again soon 🙂 Megan xo
