Countdown to Christmas 2025: 11 weeks!
Hello friends! 11 weeks to go, but today’s extra special for another reason: it’s our grandson’s very first birthday!! Born at 29 weeks and weighing just 1.7kg (he was a few weeks old in this picture) he’s made wonderful gains and is loving life 🙂
Last year, I created these treat holders but didn’t get to share them as Paul was hospitalised a couple of weeks before Christmas:
I’d purchased the treat bags from Stampin’ Up! for just $5.25 for 25 bags (on sale), and still have quite a few left:
To decorate the bags, I used the coordinating cardstock:
I started by punching out scallop shapes from the cardstock (they measure 2 3/8 inches):
Then I punched out 2 1/2 inch shiny gold medallions…
… followed by lots of glittery gold stars!
The final step was to stamp then punch out the sentiment, ‘Wishing you a Merry Christmas’ from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set (retired):
One of my Christmas traditions is to buy some of these yummy gingerbread from Gingerbread Folk:
And they turned out to be the perfect sized treat for the decorated bags!
MEANWHILE … we had a birthday adventure to Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park today (thanks Auntie Jennie!) and Cali was fascinated by the birds, but seemed most interested in the rainbow lorikeets 🙂
Thanks so much for spending some time with me and I hope to see you again soon 🙂 Megan xo
