Countdown to Christmas 2024: 6 weeks!

Hello friends! It’s been birthday time at our house and one of the highlights was definitely this charcuterie board that our granddaughter made for Paul – delicious and totally gluten free!!

I’m needing some Christmas cards for myself, as well as for the shop, so all the new designs will be featuring some gorgeous embossing. This week’s card showcases the Poinsettias & Baubles 3D Embossing Folder that I bought back in September: A long shot:

I used a small ornament/bauble punch (Stampin’ Up! retired) and some pretty glitter cardstock to create ornaments for the front of the cards:

My hand needed a rest after this effort!

I experimented with the number and arrangement of the baubles on the card front (the red one is also glittery but doesn’t photograph very well):

And decided I liked the simple elegance of just one:

I’m thinking of packaging them as a set of 4 cards with one of each coloured bauble – we’ll see! 🙂

MEANWHILE … For my birthday I was excited to receive a set of ‘who dunnits’ from across the decades! I’ve only read one of them, and that was a long time ago, so I’m looking forward to starting at the bottom of the pile and reading my way to a new release!
