Countdown to Christmas 2024: 4 weeks!
Hello friends! We’re so thankful for air conditioning at the moment – it’s helping us survive the current heat wave. And then there’s our rice cooker, which means I was able to bake a yummy cake without turning the oven on!!
Being cool has also made it easier for me to be in my craft room! I’m using embossing again this week, although the pattern is a more subtle one featuring lots of Christmas words. I embossed 20 card fronts while listening to a podcast 🙂
I wanted to use up some of my paper stash to create Christmas trees in more traditional Christmas colours; this Lights Aglow specialty paper from Stampin’ Up! (retired) gave me lots of choice:
Once I’d chosen the paper, the next decision was what tree shape to use; I opted for the tree die with wavy edges:
These patterned papers are double-sided so either side could have worked, but I preferred the pattern that looks like garlands decorating a tree 🙂
Next step was to die-cut 20 trees!
I wanted each tree to be raised up on the embossed card fronts, so for this step I used LOTS of double-sided adhesive foam dots:
Once I’d prepared the various elements of the card design, it was quite quick to complete each card:
MEANWHILE… Sadly, not all my family were able to make my birthday dinner due to illness, so it was very special to receive these beautiful flowers on Sunday!! Yes, I love colourful flowers 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting me today; I really appreciate you being here 🙂 If you have any questions please ask and I hope this has given you a little of your own inspiration! Megan xo
