Countdown to Christmas 2022: 1 week!
Hello friends! The ‘one-week-left’ has snuck up on me, but I’m feeling reasonably organised and am happily avoiding shopping centres. Some family visited last weekend to help put up Christmas lights (parents are banned from high ladders!) which meant we got to spend time with this cutie:
We’re gifting gingerbread this year and I wanted the Gingerbread Folk gingerbread to look a little ‘Christmassy’; I opted to make individual toppers and started with a red cardstock layer:
Once die-cut, I scored the label longways down the middle and folded it in half:
Next, I embossed the label with a snowflake pattern (I know we don’t have snow but I like the pattern!) and added 2 strips of 3/4 inch wide double-sided tape either side of the centre fold:
It was quick and easy to adhere the gingerbread packet in place:
The snowflake pattern shows on both sides:
I needed lots of things for the added decoration, starting with a sentiment …
… and a paper gingerbread snowflake:
These were attached to each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals:
I made sure the gingerbread smile could still be seen 🙂
I’ve packaged quite a lot but still have a few more to go!
MEANWHILE … The two pillars are this year’s decorative focus:
Thanks so much for visiting me today and I hope these final days before Christmas aren’t too hectic for you! Take care and stay safe, Megan xo
