A wish for Emily #3: a stay in Melbourne
Emily and her Mum are still in Melbourne and Dad’s back in Sydney for work and to be with the other kids. This is really hard!! The 2 week stay is going to be much longer as the medical team look to buy Emily some time and protect her other organs to be as strong as they can be for when the transplant happens. She’s loving the contact from family and friends:
Biggest news? “The team have managed to rejig all her medications and nutrition so for 2 hours Emily was free!!! No pumps, no lines, no backpacks, no wheelchair, no splints!!! To say she was ecstatic is an understatement! She actually got to climb on equipment at the playground and not worry about getting lines tangled or what others would think of her bits. For 2 hours: she was a normal kid!!”:
#EMboss4EM is well underway and I’ve managed to add 14 Sets of embossed Cards to my now slightly-less-neglected Etsy shop!! Each set has 4 cards of one design and only one colour or hue in each set:
Will have more done and on there by the end of this weekend so I’m very happy. You can read more about what’s happening on the facebook page, and donations can be made thro’ gofundme.com/awishforemily. Thanks for visiting today! Megan xo
