Hello friends! How are you going? March feels as though it’s disappeared in a blur of family moves and the fall out of “That-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named”; I haven’t posted once! The family and pet menagerie transitioned safely to their new home and the last fortnight has been a gradual adjustment to staying home alone, and tidying up!
Emily wasn’t able to celebrate her birthday as she’d hoped, but she had given me some birthday instructions! Whatever I did, I needed to include fairies, toadstools and unicorns 🙂 This brief was partially fulfilled by the birthday card (a little larger than the standard card size I usually make):
The stamps are from a Simon Says Stamp set called Secret Garden (retired) and it gave me the toadstools, a toadstool house, and a very sweet fairy: The number ’11’ is sneakily disguised by the tiny toadstools, gorgeously shiny with glossy accents and raised up by foam adhesive strips for added dimension:
The cardstock colours are Call me Clover, Whisper White and Purple Posy and the white embossed background of trees was made using the Woodland Embossing Folder. The sparkly frame was created using gold glimmer paper and two of the Stitched Rectangle Dies:
And a closer look at the bottle of fairy dust:
I used the fairy again to decorate the black envelope, coordinating it with some retired Stampin’ Up! products:
MEANWHILE an online order from K-Mart was delivered on Monday with 3 broken items 🙁 This is just one of them:
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me today and I hope you’ve found a little inspiration. 🙂 In the midst of all the current uncertainty just do your best to stay calm, safe and connected; I’ll write again in a few days to share the present I created for Emily! Megan xo
