CARD CONCEPT #4 One Design Element Awareness Ribbon Card

Has August flown by for you?! It’s been such a busy month for me; so many birthdays to celebrate and lots of cards to make and post!! I’ve also designed an Awareness Ribbon Card in loving memory of my beautiful Mum who passed away from cancer 25 years ago this month:

The card concept uses only one design shape to create the card. This shape is reproduced in 3 ways using an embossing folder & the Ribbon of Courage bundle:

  1. Embossed on a card panel then adhered to a matching card base.
  2. Die cut from the cardstock and popped up on the embossed ribbon with some Wink of Stella added for sparkle!
  3. Stamped and die cut as a surprise element to be included with the card! Used as a bookmark, for example, it acts as a reminder of the cause:

I love that Awareness Ribbons give support, hope and encouragement around the world while using an amazing range of colors and patterns to help distinguish them from each other. And I love that my design can be easily recreated in different colors to support so many worthwhile causes:

Still haven’t made up my mind how I’ll do the patterned ribbons!! I’ve started to add these to the EiderCraft Etsy Shop where I’m selling them for A wish for Emily. I hope these cards give you a little inspiration and thanks so much for visiting me today! Megan xo
